Expert Guide To Exterior Car Detailing San Diego

The exterior of the car is the part that most people will see, and it is the part that you will know when you walk towards it in the morning, so make sure it is in a condition that you are proud of and want to look back at every time you park and exit. You risk causing more harm to the car if you haven’t cleaned all of the panels and removed all of the dirt. At Dr. Detail we do the best exterior car detailing at affordable rates.

Even if a car has a vinyl wrap, it can be detailed. You won’t see any joins in prominent areas of the body panels if the job was done professionally, and you can still describe it as the factory paint finish. When it comes to exterior vehicle detailing, there are five distinct categories to consider:

1. Claying

While on the track, your car is bombarded by various particles and elements, from acidic rain to gravel to exhaust fumes; the paintwork is never spared. As a result, you must take good care of it and take as many of these precautions as possible to keep it secure. A simple test can be used to determine how contaminated and dirty the paintwork is.

2. Waxing

To wax your car, make sure it’s scorched and that you’ve already played it. After that, you should pick your wax and obtain a foam pad to spread it with.

Only a tiny amount of wax is needed, which should be spread in overlapping circular wipes in approximately half-meter square sections over the vehicle. Apply a thin layer of wax; if you use too much, it will gunk up and leave clumps.

3. Polishing

When it comes to polishing, you can either use an orbital buffer or hand polish the vehicle; it is one of the final steps in detailing a car because it brings out the shine and sparkle of the paintwork. If you use an orbital buffer, be careful not to add too much pressure because you don’t want to harm the car’s paintwork.

4. Wheel And Brake Detailing

The wheels and brakes can appear to be minor details, but they make a significant difference. If the rest of the car’s paintwork is spotless, but the wheels are filthy, the whole thing looks drab. If the wheels are also bright and shiny, the entire vehicle becomes even more of a head-turner; additionally, if you’ve gone to the trouble of detailing the paintwork, you might as well go the extra mile.

5. Glass Detailing

It is a win-win situation when it comes to glass detailing because it improves your car’s appearance and improves your driving vision.

Ensure the car is no longer in direct sunlight and that all of the glass surfaces are dry. If the cleaner solution is too wet, it will almost completely evaporate before it reaches the bottle, leaving dry marks.
